Are some days a "Stress Mess"?

Anxiety is sort of a tool of our body that is meant to be a healthy response to stresses in life or a dangerous situation. You get scared and....your metabolism speeds up, muscles tighten, and then your adrenal glands produce more quattities of adrenaline ( the hormone that causes your heart to thump, thump, faster, faster! THEN, anxiety becomes the troublesome response when we cannot burn up the nervous energy it created......then you are the "stress mess". What to do? Is it the OMG panic attack? Stress can slap you with symptoms such as, restlessness, trembling, heaart palpitations, dry mouth, sweaty palms, even diarrhea! Stress can cause fatique, headache, backache, and hyperventilation! Here are some good measures to take instead of popping a RX pill or creepy chemical potion. First, check your diet, the good complex carbohydrates contain serotonin, a neurotransmitter that will have a calming effect on your brain. Now, NOT the creepy carbs mind you. The good guys are brown rice or maybe oats each day. Foods rich in B vitamins....the green leafy friends. Be sure to get calcium and magnesium in sea veggies, nuts, molasses, salmon, broccoli and unsweetened cultured yogurt. REFINED SUGARS WILL GREATLY ADD TO A STRESS PROBLEM AND DEPRESSION. I am very big on aromatherapy and essential oils put in a room diffuser, bath, or massage can really push that stress out. Try lavender, melissa, jasmine, or ylang ylang for starters. They seem to be the top anti-stress essentials. We have put these on one of our roll-on "perfume" and named it "willow". I love to have lavender burning in my oil burner during the day and I have been know to burn some ylang ylang during the night in my bedroom. Exercise always helps squish the stress out...I personally, love to run. Now, also laugh therapy is wonderful! Find some funny shows and belly laugh out load. America's Funniest Videos could be a place to start. I know of one natural health doctor who actually told his cancer patient to watch some I Love Lucy shows daily!
